Ligue 1 GW1: All you need to know as PSG resumes their quest to defend the league title in France

PSG are unbeaten since losing 3-0 to Monaco in March and have won each of their last seven games. PSG defeated Clermont in both legs of their league meetings last season by an aggregate of 10-1 and under Galtier, they will be looking to start their league campaign in the same vein they finished the last season.

Lionel Messi, Neymar Junior and Kylian Mbappé are all ready for the new season as they try to conquer Europe but first, they have Clemont to deal with in domestic commitment.

Strasbourg and Monaco do battle early on Sunday before PSG’s match in the night and on Sunday, OG Nice travel to Toulouse in the first kickoff before other games follow up simultaneously in the afternoon.

Angers are at home against Nantes. Brest travel to Lens. Lille play host to newly promoted Auxerre. Montpellier are at home against Troyes.

In the evening, Rennes entertain Lorient and late in the night, last season runner-up Marseille kickoff their season at home against Reims.
