Jadon Sancho’s move to Manchester United took a twist on Monday when Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director confirm that the Englishman will spend next season at the club.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc affirmed that Jadon Sancho will remain with the German club after Manchester United failed to reach an agreement for the deal.
According to Multiple reports, personal terms between Sancho and United has been reached and the Premier League club want to pay £90m in three instalments and a further €18m add-ons but Dortmund’s valuation is €20m which is the only cause of the holdup in the deal.
Zorc said, “We plan on having Jadon Sancho in our team this season, the decision is final. I think that answers all our questions.”
Dortmund have been in this type of scenario in the past when FC Barcelona move for Ousmane Dembélé in the summer of 2017 with Zorc claiming that the French winger will remain in Dortmund.
The BVB Sporting Director said, ” Dembélé has a long-term contract. There are no negotiations. Dembélé will play for Dortmund in the coming season.” But in the end, we all know how the deal played out.
Jadon Sancho has connected with a number of Manchester United players like Marcus Rashford and is certain a deal will happen before the end of the summer transfer.
