It’s beginning to flow in the German topflight as three matchdays have pass since the restart.

Matchday 29 kick on Friday evening as Freiburg host Bayer Leverkusen.

Freiburg, who throw away a two goal lead to draw 3-3 at Frankfurt last time out dropped in the standing as Hoffenheim climb above them in the league with a win over Koln.

Leverkusen suffered a heavy home defeat against Wolfsburg in their first loss since the restart of and a win tonight will see them temporarily rise to third on the log before rival teams play on Saturday and Sunday.

Wolfsburg, on the back of a 4-1 away win at Leverkusen host Frankfurt, who battled back from 3-1 down to rescue a draw at home against Freiburg.

Impressive Hertha look to continue their impressive run which saw them beat Hoffenheim and Union Berlin and also earn a point away at Leipzig when they entertain Augsburg on Saturday.

Mainz host Hoffenheim as they look for maximum points which will take them further away from the relegation zone.

Relegation threaten Werder Bremen travel to shattered Schalke who have lost all three matches since the restart. Schalke will also be looking to return to form with a win over the club from Bremen.

High-flying Bayern Munich round up matches on Saturday evening when they welcome Fortuna Düsseldorf to the Alianz Arena. Düsseldorf, who beat Schalke 2-1 on Wednesday will not have it easy against the Bavarian who have been impeccable since the restart of games.

On Sunday, Borussia Monchengladbach will be looking to bounce back from their mid-week goalless draw against Werder Bremen when they host Union Berlin before Paderborn host second place Borussia Dortmund in the evening.

Dortmund’s 1-0 loss to Bayern in mid-week was the first time they lose a match since the restart having beaten Schalke and Wolfsburg without conceding. A win is much needed in order to pull away from the chasers and ensure Bayern don’t have it easy winning the league and Leipzig travel to Koln on Monday, in the match of the week.

The battle for champions league places looks tense as only four points separate second and fifth on the standings.
