The BundesLiga returns this weekend after over two months since the last fixture of matchday 25 was played between Borussia Monchengladbach and FC Koln.

The Long awaited resumption of football actions is set to be over this weekend as the German topflight prepare to kickstart the league from the matchday 26.

Augsburg host Wolfsburg at the WWK Arena in one of the matches to be first kick off of the weekend. The reverse fixture of the clash played at the Volkswagen arena ended goalless after Joao Victor’s Goal was ruled out by VAR.

The clash between Dortmund and Schalke at the home of Schalke is another match that ended goalless in the round nine of matches this season. A win for Dortmund at home this time will see them close the gap at the top of the table to just one before Bayern Munich play Union Berlin on Sunday.

Freiburg shocked Leipzig with a 2-1 win back in October with goals from Nicolas Hofler and Nils Petersen scoring in either half while Lukas Klostermann grab a consolation for the Leipzig.

Leipzig is in a situation to win this one as any other result might see them drop to 4th, level on point with fifth placed if Leverkusen secure maximum points against Werder Bremen.

13th placed Hertha Berlin host Hoffenheim who occupied the 9th position on the league table while 18 positioned Paderborn travel to 16th placed Düsseldorf

Gladbach will travel to Frankfurt in the last match of the day. The Borussia beat Frankfurt 4-2 in the first leg of this fixture. Both teams will be looking for maximum points in this one as it could prove decisive in their respective ends on the log.

Koln host Mainz in the lunch time kick off on Sunday before Bayern play away at Union Berlin.

The Bavarian won the first round by two goals to one thanks to Sebastian Andersson penalty which was saved by Manuel Neuer.

Werder Bremen host Bayer Leverkusen on Monday night in the last fixture of the round.

The matches will be tricky since all players have been away for over two months, hence, it could be anyone’s to take this time around before teams settle down proper in the coming weeks.
