Arsenal marked the long awaited return to the UEFA Champions League with an emphatic display against Dutch side, PSV Eindhoven, winning 4-0 under the floodlights in the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners, who last participated in the Europe number one club competition in the 2016-17 season started the game very brightly and Bukayo Saka put them in front eight minutes into his Champions League debut.

Leandro Trossard, from a Bukayo Saka assist doubled Mikel Arteta’s side advantage in the 20th minute while Gabriel Jesus made it 3-0 few minutes before the break, assisted by Leandro Trossard.

It finished 3-0 at half time and captain, Martin Ødegaard scored 20 minutes from time to seal a 4-0 win for the host to kickoff a fresh start in the competition that have never won in their more than 130 years existence.
