Arsenal has received good news on the injury front as Gabriel Jesus is expected to be back in action after the trip to Dubai.
Brazilian striker Jesus missed the Emirates FA Cup defeat to Liverpool as the club revealed the shocking news moments before kickoff in the Emirates on Sunday evening.
Gabriel Jesus is one of the most vital players for Mikel Arteta’s side but his unimpressive injury record has left the fans asking questions of his impact at the club.
The former Manchester City man missed the early months of 2023, one of the major factors that costed the club the chance to win a first league title in 19 years while so far this season he had missed ten games due to injuries before his recent one.
Arsenal already have some of their important players on the sidelines this season with Jurrien Timber not playing since suffering an ACL injury in the win over Nottingham Forest in the opening weekend of the season.
Thomas Partey has not featured since October due to a muscle injury that saw him left out of Ghana’s Black Stars squad for the African Cup of Nations starting this month.
Takehiro Tomiyasu has-been in and out of the team due to injury and has now joined Japan for the Asian Cup.
Gabriel Jesus set for Arsenal return
According to reports in Brazil, Gabriel Jesus will return from his minor injury at the end of Arsenal’s trip to Dubai. He is expected to be in the squad to face Crystal Palace on the 20th of this month.
Jesus has scored just three times in 15 Premier League appearances this season but has a goal in each of his four Champions League starts.
He may not have the impressive numbers but the 26-year-old makes the North Londoners a much better side amongst the other options in attack at the club.
His return will be Instrumental in the club ending their three game losing run.
