Cole Palmer was again the star of the show as Chelsea earn another win over Fulham, to continue their impressive form of recent, putting behind them the loss in Middlesborough.
Chelsea makes it three league wins on the bounce as Cole Palmer’s penalty late in the first-half helped conquer Fulham in Stamford Bridge in the early kickoff on Saturday.
The Blues headed into the game on the back of a shocking loss to Michael Carrick’s Middlesbrough in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi final meeting on Wednesday.
Needing to bounce back, they were presented a chance to take the lead in the added minutes of the first-half, awarded a penalty after Issa Diop was penalized for a foul on Raheem Sterling.
Cole Palmer, for the fifth time in the Premier League this season stepped up to convert from the spot, sending Bernd Leno the wrong way to score his ninth goal in the competition this season.
Palmer has directly won 13 of the 27 Premier League points for Chelsea since his debut in a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in September. He continues to star for the club and taking them up the table.
Mauricio Pochettino will be pleased with the performances of the former Manchester City youngster, who was brought in late in the window and has become an important part of the project at Chelsea.
Cole Palmer has been directly involved in 16 Chelsea goals, more than any other player at the club. His consistency has also been key and will be needed to remain so as Chelsea seek a return to the spotlight.
