FPL picks for captainship amongst the most promising options available this weekend.
Best Captain Options
Erling Haaland’s (£15.3m) :- Averaging 13 points per match at the Ethiad, the Norwegian is a must have this season and he’s owned by 73% of the managers.
Though he didn’t have any return last match against Newcastle, he will still be trusted by millions of managers.
His output in the corresponding match last season is also worth remembering – he earned 20 points, scoring three goals and supplying an assist.
Mohamed Salah (£12.7m):- The Egyptians is the most important player to own in Liverpool, his 11 big chance involvements equals Haaland’s tally and is more than his team-mate Luis Diaz (£8.0m).
Bukayo Saka (£10.1m):- Arsenal play Southampton at home in Gameweek 7 which is arguably the best fixture of the season for the Gunners. Although he failed to register an attacking return for the first time this season against Leicester last week he is expected to be back on the scoresheet this weekend.
Mikel Arteta’s team are the favorites to score 2.5+ goals (60%).Saka is nailed to start, on penalties, set pieces and is simply his sides best player and FPL option.

Cole Palmer (£10.7m):- The former Manchester City player reminds everyone that he’s a force to reckon with by scoring four goals last weekend against Brighton in a 6 goals thriller.
Chelsea don’t have the easiest fixture in Gameweek 7 though as Nottingham Forest are a decent defensive team. Which is why he’s my last go to for captaincy.
FPL Picks : Best Differential for Gameweek 7
Antoine Semenyo:- One of the Cherries’ most impressive players this season, Semenyo will be hoping for a sterling performance against Leicester City on Saturday.
The Ghanaian international was the star of the show during his side’s 3-1 win over Southampton on Monday, scoring a wonderful goal to make it 3-0 in the first half, taking his league tally for the season to three. He will be facing Leicester City with a not so good defense and two of three of Semenyo’s goals came against teams that are 16th or below on the table.
Gabriel Martinelli : Martinelli has started five of the six league games so far in 2024/25 and, after his goal and assist performance against Leicester in Gameweek Six, Mikel Arteta would be hard-pushed to drop him to the bench for a game that the Gunners are overwhelming favorites to win. The Brazilian is back on the scoresheet again with a goal and an assist in his last outing and is touted to keep the form against Southampton.
Kai Havertz:- Arsenal’s Kai Havertz continues to produce a high level of attacking returns as their central striker, with four goal involvements this season.
All of those returns have come at home, which bodes well for this fixture against relegation candidates Southampton, who are without a clean sheet for this campaign, conceding 12 goals.
Kai Havertz is the best Arsenal player to own this weekend and hopefully he will not disappoint.
