Despite his poor display last season, many will believe it is just a difficult phase and will expect the Arsenal captain to find his scoring boots when the new season gets underway.

It however appears that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang might have passed his glorious days after his lethargic and unimproved performances saw him finish the preseason campaign without having scored a goal.
The Gabonnese started all six of Arsenal’s pre-season games and failed to register a goal, as the Gunners endured a below par preparation for the new season.
Aubameyang look lost in the preseason games and might be another impeding worry for Mikel Arteta in the new season as his dropped performance had significant impact on the club’s overall performance last season, since he is their main goal threat.
Before the end of the summer transfers, Arsenal might need to bring in another striker in order to stand any chance of reaching their objective for the season, as Aubameyang and compatriot Alexander Lacazette seem far beyond their prime.
Arsenal kick off the new Premier League season with a Friday night visit to newly promoted Brentford, and will need more than depending on Aubameyang for goals, against The Bees.
