‘Mad Man of Gadara’ Pep Guardiola cut himself after bottling a 3-0 lead at Ethiad.
MAD MAN OF GADARA
An unusually disturbing sight would follow a devastating loss like draw between Manchester City and Feyenoord on Tuesday night in the champions League.
When asked about the visible cuts on his face, Pep Guardiola’s response was that he cut himself with his fingernails and want to hurt himself.
It has been a shocking past few weeks for the one time Champions League winners and couldn’t get any worse than bottling a three-nil lead at home.
Following their early exist from the Carabao cup where they lost 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspurs, the Premier League winners would go on to lose three more times in the premier league which included a miserable 4-0 home defeat to Tottenham again and also lost 4-1 to Sporting CP in the Champions League in Ruben Amorim’s last home game who went on to join Manchester United.
The out of form Europe Juggernaut would have hoped for a safe landing after leading 3-0 just a little after the half-time mark but it would not end the way Pep Guardiola thought.
With 16 mins left to play, Feyenoord will pull one back to get their spirit high and go on to not lose the tie in what will see them become the first team to not lose a game despite losing by three goals after 70 mins.
Their historical comeback just added to the misery of Manchester City who are in a terrible state before and it doesn’t seem to be coming to an end soon as they play the league leader – Liverpool next at Anfield.
Will Guardiola cut himself more this weekend or he will have his smile back ?
