Manchester City’s Brazilian midfielder, Fernandinho has decided to return to his former club, Atlético Paranaense in his home country when he leaves Manchester City as a free agent this summer.
Fernandinho, 37, has his mind all his made up and will not bend on the decision he made several weeks ago, albeit manager, Pep Guardiola continues to plead he stays at the club beyond the summer.
Fernandinho signed for the club from Shakhtar Donesk in 2013, during Manuel Pellegrini’s first season and remained a crucial part of the set up even after the departure of the Chilean in 2016.
He’ll now leave City after nine seasons, since joining from Shakhtar Donesk in 2013.
