The Premier League 2022-23 season champion is already crowned with Pep Guardiola’s City winning the title for a third time in a row while Arsenal have settled for second spot after fumbling their quest to be winners.
Newcastle United have secured Champions League qualification for the first time in 20 years while Manchester United need just a point from their remaining two games to complete the top four.
For Liverpool, they’ll need to win their final game away to already relegated Southampton and hope United lose their two remaining games to reach the Champions League next season.
However, that seems a bit too much to dream so its safe to the The Reds have only but secured Europa League place and will be joined by Brighton, who sealed a first ever European qualification following their win over Southampton last weekend.
Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur will battle for a lone ticket to the Europa Conference League. Albeit it is the Unai Emery’s side that has the upper hand with a point more than Spurs, they face a more difficult task on final matchday as they host Brighton while their rival travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United.
Chelsea have succumbed to a place in the bottom half while they’ll also finish below fellow Londoners, Fulham for the first time in 40 years.
Southampton are relegated while two other spots in the drop zone is still to be decided with two of Leeds United, Leicester City and Everton to be heading for the Championship after conclusion of games on Sunday.
The prize money is what we’ll look at in this article and since this is yet to be revealed, here is how it was awarded to last season’s top four teams.
Champion — Manchester City (£161.3m)
Premier League title winner Man City will make away with £161.3 million in prize money as it is the same amount they received for winning the competition last season.

First runner-up — Arsenal (£159.8m)
Liverpool it was last season that finished in this position and they are awarded £159.8 million in prize money. Having secured that spot for themselves this term, the Gunners will make away with an amount in this region.
Third and fourth earned £152.1 million and £151.7 million respectively. The position is yet to be decided but Newcastle are assured a top four finish, while United could still beat them to third or completely fall out of the Champions League spot.
Liverpool can not finish below fifth and despite their slim chance of making top four, they are more suited for fifth and the reward will be £151.6m, which was received by Arsenal last season.
Brighton are set to receive their higest pay in a league season after finishing their highest in top-flight history. A sum of £150.2m awaits after the conclusion of the campaign.
The amount of £142.1m and £134m is to be bagged by and or Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur respectively, with the larger amount going to the club that finish above the other come Sunday evening.
Brentford’s ninth place finish will see them in line for £131.5m payment while fellow Londoners, Fulham, who are just a place below on the log will get £130.6m on their first season back in the top-flight. Not bad.
Another London team, Crystal Palace will hope to finish above Chelsea and cash in on a £128.2m cash prize though they have played a game more but Chelsea also have to worry about Wolves, who can still claim the £124.3m cash prize for twelfth.
