Radu Dragusin has rejected the chance to join Bayern Munich in favour of a move to Tottenham Hotspur from Genoa this month.
The 21-year-old Romanian center back signed for Genoa on a season long loan with an option of a permanent move in the summer of 2022, and the permanent clause was activated after a remarkable season.
Dragusin signed a long-term contract until 2027 as Juventus received £5 million from Genoa with an add ons of around £1.5 milion to be paid if some conditions of the deal are met.
After just six months, Dragusin is now on his way to Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth £30 million, add ons included and young right-back Djed Spence also spending the remainder of the season with Serie A side Genoa.

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich moved to hijack the deal but Dragusin choose Ange Postecoglou’s side when presented the choice to select where to move to this month.
Radu Dragusin’s agent speaking to GPS on turning down a move to Bayern : “We can’t believe we turned down Bayern… Radu had given his word to Spurs and chose to respect this. We’re all still mindblown a bit!”
With just over a century of first team appearances, Radu Dragusin has been convincing enough to attract interests from Europe elites and the move to Spurs he will hope can project his career to an even better stage.
Dragusin is already an established international with Romania, making 13 appearances since his debut in March 2022.
He joins Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie as players to sign for the North Londoners from Italy in recent time.
He is an interesting prospect and will be interesting to see how far this move to the Premier League takes him.
