With the player’s agent, Alejandro Camano confirming in March that the Moroccan international will return to parent club, Real Madrid after his two years loan spell at Borussia Dortmund end this summer and his client is ready to play for (the best team in the world) Real Madrid.
It appears the 21year old will be afforded no chance to play for the team whom he has been with since 2006 as reports suggest a move to Inter Milan is imminent.
Hakimi Achraf, who has been impressive this season, contributing to 19 goals across all competitions for BVB, is ranked one of the best players in the BundesLiga and the UEFA champions league.
His abilities defensively and contributions in attack will see him slot easily into any team but not in Real Madrid by the look of things.
Achraf made no secret, his intentions to represent Los Blancos but seems the club are not intending on giving a chance to any of his loaned stars.
His counterpart in Madrid, Dani Carvajal has not been in top form in recent seasons and Achraf has surely been a better player than the Spaniard, however, Real seem contented with sticking to him and not give Achraf a go.
Carvajal still has years ahead of him but has no competition for his place in the team, however, Madrid boast Nacho Fernandez, who is an utility player to cover for the 28year old in case of injuries and suspension.
It will surely not be a bad plot by the Spanish giants to let Achraf stay a year and compete with Carvajal in order to get the best out of the Spaniard or see if Achraf is actually an upgrade, but the club is letting him go without giving him a fighting chance.
Real also had a number of other high-flying teenagers who look set to remain at the club they are loaned to when they have been outstanding in the current campaign.
Martin Ødegaard, Takefusa Kubo, Sergio Reguilón, Dani Ceballos and others have been pulling the strings for their temporal employers are set to either remain at the club the spent the current season, leave on loan to another club or secure a permanent move elsewhere.
Madrid hierarchy seems to have no belief in their own talents but are obsessed with signing established players from other clubs and Achraf’s imminent move to Inter is the evidence to this truth.
Martin Ødegaard is another player who is aching for a return to the Bernabeu to play in the colour of his parent club after an impressive season at Real Sociedad but Madrid are not ready to have the Norwegian back at the club.
Fede Valverde is the only player from Real Madrid Castilla to be given a chance in the first team and the Uruguayan international has not disappoint in his first full season with Los Blancos first team. He is up there among the La Liga best players of the current campaign.
How good will it be if Real could give a chance to other young, talented and hungry players and save the fees spent in the transfer market, searching for established players.
