Steadily, the positive atmosphere is being restored back at Chelsea following crucial wins over Leeds United in the league and Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

The Champions League win over Dortmund, which completed a come from behind win after their 1-0 deficit in Germany is the real secret to this, though fans had already started to go soft on the team and manager following the weekend win over Leeds United.
Graham Potter had been under huge pressure as his side struggled to record wins and he looked on the brink of losing his job. The fans had ran out of patience but the hierarchy let the Englishman continued that time.
The positive turn of events lately appear to be mending the relationship amongst everyone at the club, including the fans who had wanted the manager to leave not so long ago.
Nonetheless, not all is convinced of Graham Potter’s abilities to take the club forward but it is certain that all would have enjoy the performance under the light in Stamford Bridge, which saw them overcome a goal deficit and oust Dortmund for a place in the last eight of the Champions League.
Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz scored in either half to seal passage into the next round 2-1 on aggregate, breaking the hearts of the traveling fans, who would have thought their side were so much the better side before kickoff.
A Dortmund side, who had won all their ten games in the calendar year before last night were completely shutdown by the Chelsea defence. Chelsea fans world wide will need time to get over that performance, probably their best under the new Manager.
The Londoners had not scored twice in a game in twelve attempts since beating Bournemouth 2-0 on league return post World Cup break back in December.
However, they turned up at the crucial time to save the season for Chelsea, scoring two none replied goals to progress at the expense of their German opponent.
Chelsea return to league action this weekend with a trip to Leicester, looking to continue enjoying their return to form. However, a positive result will also be required for Potter to silence his critics and help Chelsea finish the season on a high.
