Novak Djokovic, Cameron Norrie, Tatjana Maria and Ons Jabeur all come from behind to secure their place in the last four of this year’s Wimbledon Championship following come from behind wins in their respective games.
Tatjana Maria was the first to do it on Tuesday, leaving goosebumps on the Tennis world as she reaches her first Grand Slam semi final following a come from behind win over fellow German, Jule Niemeier.
Despite losing the first set 4-6, the 34 year old claimed the second set by 6-2. She was also downed by 2-4 in the third set before coming from behind to force a tie breaker and eventually taking it 7-5.
An incredible scene on Court One, which was decided in 2h 17mins saw the 34-year-old mother of two reach the last four of a Grand Slam, 21 years since becoming a professional tennis player.
Her best singles Grand Slam finish was round three having take part in 35 of them since making his first at Wimbledon in 2007.
She becomes only the fourth female player to have reached the semifinals in Wimbledon whilst ranked outside the top-100 since 1984. Mirjana Lucic in 1999 No.134, Jie Zheng in 2008 No.133, Serena Williams in 2018 No.181 and now Tatjana Maria this year No.103.
Awaiting her in the semi final is history maker, Ons Jabeur, who comes clutch in the semi final to beat Marie Bouzkova in a come from behind 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 win to reach her first ever Grand Slam semifinals in Wimbledon.
She in the process becomes the first African Woman to reach a Slam Semi final since 1997 and only the second African player ever in the Open Era to reach the Semifinal at Wimbledon after Yvonne Vermaak in 1983.
The 27-year-old also becomes the first ever Arab, woman or man to reach the semis of a Grand Slam. Being the top ranked team left in the Championship, there might not be a better chance for the Tunisian to get her first ever Grand Slam title.

Defending Champion, became only the second player to come from two sets down to win in this year’s Wimbledon following his lastest heroics vs Jannik Sinner to seal semi final spot.

He continues his quest for a record equalling four straight Wimbledon title and standing in his way in the semi final is British No. 1 Cameron Norrie, who becomes the first British man to reach the semi final of Wimbledon since Andy Murray in 2016.
26-year-old Norrie battled back from a set down twice to beat David Goffin 3-6, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5, taking the decisive set via a tie breaker.
