NADAL ROLLS ON

Rafael Nadal closes out a 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 straight sets win over Lorenzo Sonego on Center Court in 2h4 on Saturday to reach a 20th consecutive grand slam matches won.

The Spaniard moves into that fourth round where he’ll face Botic van de Zandschulp.

Botic van de Zandschulp sealed progression into the fourth round thanks to a tough win over former Wimbledon semi finalist, Richard Gasquet.

The Dutchman continues his fine form on grass to seal the win in four sets, taking it 7-5, 2-6, 7-6(7), 6-1.

KYRGIOS NICKS TSITSIPAS

Nick Kyrgios is through to the next round after coming from a set down to shock Greek showman, Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Looking for his first Grand Slam singles QF appearance since 2015, the Australian took it 6-7, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 to reach the fourth round.

NAKASHIMA OUSTED GALÁN

Brandon Nakashima earns a first appearance in a Grand Slam fourth round following an impressive straight set win over Daniel Elahi Galán in 1h51

He took it 6-4, 6-4, 6-1 to set up a round 16 meeting with Nick Kyrgios.

DE MINAUR POWERS THROUGH TO FACE GARIN

Alex de Minaur is through to the fourth round in Wimbledon for the first time ever after his 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 straight sets in over Liam Broady in 2h25.

The 23 year old Australian faces Cristian Garin next.

Chilean star, Cristian Garin becomes the third South American able to reach multiple Wimbledon second weeks after Juan Martin del Potro and David Nalbandian.

He saw off Jenson Brooksby in four sets, 6-2, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 to reach Wimbledon round four for the second year running.

AMERICANS MAKES HISTORY

Taylor Fritz books fourth round spot in Wimbledon after earning a 6-4 6-1 7-6 straight set win over Alex Molcan.

It is the first time since 1999 that four American men have reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon following Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul, Taylor Fritz and Brandon Nakashima all progressing into the round of 16.

KUBLER MAKES ROUND 16 DEBUT

It took over four hours but the Aussie books his place in the fourth round of a grand slam for the first time in his career. 

Jason Kubler defeated Jack Sock in five sets, winning the decisive one via a tie breaker, 6-2 4-6 5-7 7-6(4) 6-3.

His next opponent is Taylor Fritz, on Monday.

CORNET CORNERED SWIATEK

Iga Swiatek’s record breaking run is finally brought to a halt by 32yo Alizé Cornet, who is having the best Slam year of her long career, sealing a 6-4, 6-2 win over the #1 to reach the last 16 at Wimbledon.

The 37 matches winning streak… is OVER and now Cornet faces Tomljanovic in the last 16.

Ajla Tomljanovic sealed back-to-back Wimbledon round of 16 berth as the Australian went full beast mode to earn a comeback win over Barbora Krejcikova, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.

HALEP BEAT FRECH

2019 Champion, Simona Halep is through to the last 16 after beating Magdalena Frech in straight sets in only 1h1.

The Romanian won 6-4 6-1 to set up a fourth round meeting with Paula Badosa.

BADOSA BREAKS GRASS JINX

Paula Badosa earns a first career meeting on grass with a seeded opponent in six attempts thanks to two tiebreakers against Petra Kvitova.

The Spaniard won 7-5, 7-6 to earn a consecutive fourth round ticket in Wimbledon.

TAN CONTINUES TO SAIL IN HARMONY

French debutant, Harmony Tan is into the second week of Wimbledon with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Katie Boulter.

The 24 year old finished off Boulter in under an hour on Court 2 to seal a first ever Grand Slam fourth round appearance.

CONSECUTIVE COMEBACK WIN FOR ANISIMOVA 

Amanda Anisimova sealed a 6-7 6-2 6-1 winner over fellow American, Coco Gauff to record a 12th match won in three sets in 2022, equaling the record so far this year, level with Beatriz Haddad Maia.

She faces Harmony Tan in the last 16 on Monday.

MAGICAL MARTIC STUNS PEJULA

Petra Martic knocked out No.8 seed Jessica Pegula in straight sets 6-2 7-6(5).

The Croatian makes her third entrance into the last 16 in Wimbledon and will look to better her personal best of round 4 finish.

RYBAKINA MATCHES BEST RUN IN WIMBLEDON

Again, Elena Rybakina is through to fourth round in Wimbledon defeating China’s Qinwen Zheng in two tiebreakers.

7-6, 7-5 it finished to the Russian-born Kazakhstani player, who takes on Petra Martic next.
