Romelu Lukaku Bolingoli, after a failed move to Manchester United made him left the Premier League for Inter, the Belgian return to the English top-flight with Chelsea last summer and it so far is slowly becoming a déjà vu of his stint at United.

Before his return to Chelsea in the summer from Italian club Inter for a fee of £97.5 million, he had netted 64 goals in 95 appearances, reached the Europa League final, won the Scudetto with the Nerazzurri, it shows how good he has become since leaving Manchester United.
Since rejoining Chelsea, he has scored just 11 times in 30 games in all competitions and the performances looks alarming for a striker with such a big profile. His current form is nothing near what the Chelsea faithfuls foresee and rightly, they expect much more.
He has struggled in most of the games this season, it is obvious in Chelsea’s 1-0 win away to Crystal Palace with Lukaku touching the ball just seven times, setting a record for the fewest touches for a player completing 90 minute since data has been recorded.
When he was at Inter, Romelu played in a two man forward alongside Argentine forward, Lautaro Martinez which was a successful partnership and really helped both strikers get the best out of themselves, with Inter reaping the dividend by winning the Scudetto.
What playing formation suits Romelu Lukaku?
In few games he has partnered Timo Werner upfront, there are signs of success in terms of goalscoring for both strikers, we saw that chemistry in Chelsea’s FA Cup clash with Luton Town in one of their most recent games.
We could say the double forward pair really suit him well if Thomas Tuchel can try employ the formation but Chelsea struggled in the game, meaning Lukaku might get to score goals but in general, it is not a formation that suits the club.

His continuous dip in form has led him to be dropped in several games for Kai Havertz, who has proven to be a more goalscoring threat for Chelsea than the former Everton striker.
For a player who has grown and improved so much that he was considered one of the top strikers in the world, he could not even make the starting XI in a team where he could be pronounced as the only natural striker.
Romelu Lukaku is a hard-working player who by all means will be looking to get his career back on track, and if it doesn’t work for him at the dream club until the summer, then Chelsea’s record signing might be on board out of the Stamford Bridge as he looks to rejuvenate his career elsewhere.
