Arsenal are very close to securing their first signing of the summer transfer window with 19 year old Brazilian winger, Marquinhos set to join from Sao Paulo.
Meeting was held between the parties on Friday and the player has been left out of Sao Paulo’s squad to face Cuiaba on Sunday and it seems the €3million deal is close to completion.
The talented player is believed to have a release clause of €50 million on his contract with Sao Paulo but with the contract running out this summer, they have to let go or lose him for free.
Arsenal’s technical director, Edu Gaspar wants to build a strong relationship with the Brazilian side for future deals and Marquinhos is one of the players he has targeted to add to the growing list of Brazilians at the club.
Arsenal are also linked with Manchester City striker, Gabriel Jesus, another Brazilian who could be on the move to the Emirates if the club secures Champions League football.
