Arsenal have been linked with a January move for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic in a deal that would see the player rejuvenate his career in a new atmosphere.

The Gunners are looking for more firepower as captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be leaving for the African Cup of Nations in January while Alexandre Lacazette’s current contract runs out in the summer and talks on extension have proven futile.
Jovic, 23, looks a shadow of his best days since leaving Frankfurt in 2019. He has been unable to replicate the performances that made Real Madrid cash in on him and look more and more out of favour as days pass with him at the club.
A winter move to the Emirates can help him get the game time to return to his best ahead of the world cup in Qatar.
With Dusan Vlahovic and Aleksandar Mitrovic are firing for their respective clubs, Jovic will surely have to get a move away from Real Madrid in order to convince manager Dragan Stojkovic he deserves to be in contention for a starting spot.
With the January transfer window commencing in under two months, we will continue to monitor the progress of the situation.
