Abrahamovic, a Russian billionaire who took over the club in the year 2003 has during his administration moved the club into the elite sphere and enjoyed great success accompanied with trophies across England, Europe and most recently the world at large.
The Russian is now under pressure from the United Kingdom government and is looking to path ways with the club in the wake of Russia’s invasion of it’s former Soviet ally in the month of February.
55 year old Roman Abrahamovic has been accused of being an enable of the Kremlin government, despite his aid towards the Ukrainian citizens. Abrahamovic, who was barred from migrating into the United Kingdom in the year 2018 is left with the options of either selling the club and properties in the UK or have them confiscated by the government.
The saddening declaration was made following pressure from the UK government to either sell all his properties from the UK or have them confiscated by the government. There has been speculations on some administrative staffs patching ways with the current world champion if there is a case of ownership change.
There’s been bid from interested party to take over the ownership of the Chelsea football club from Roman Abrahamovic, but there has been a delay in deciding who takes over the club next, with Abrahamovic looking to hand over to not only an owner who can afford it at £3bn, but also an owner who has interest of the club’s growth at heart.
Chelsea fans across social media have been asking for the club to be sold to a passionate Arab in a case where Abrahamovic can not continue as the club owner, and never an American.
Despite the uproar, there’s been some level of concentration and passion from the Chelsea men team as they defeated there opponent, Burnley during the weekend, netting four goals in the second half of their Premier League game.
Could this be the end of Chelsea’s golden era? This remains an unanswered question.
