Actions return in the German topflight this weekend and there have been concerns over the safety of players.
Latest update has it that two players from second division side Dynamo Dresden have tested positive for the coronavirus and the rest of the squad are now under quarantine.
The club is supposed to play Hannover96 this weekend but the match has now been postponed due to the latest development.
The German government have given green light to the resumption of matches if the clubs can adhere to the following rules;
-Matches will be played behind closed doors
-No more than 322 people will be allowed inside each ground (including players and match officials)
-Teams will arrive separately to avoid unnecessary contact
-Players will be required to practice social distance (meaning staying 1.5meters apart in the changing room)
-Squads will walk through the tunnel separately
-Pre match photos and handshakes are cancelled
-Players will be tested for covid-19 at least once a week
-Only players with two consecutive negative tests will be allowed to play
-If a player tests positive, clubs don’t have to inform the press. (and the rest of the squad will not be sent into quarantine)
Agreement has been reached by all parties and league will commence this weekend, however, it remains to be seen what impact the latest update will have on the upcoming fixtures.
