Players in the La Liga Santander have returned to their clubs last week to undergo the coronavirus test before resuming to training.
It was discovered that five players have tested positive for the virus but their names remain undisclosed.
Some reports had suggested earlier that Atletico Madrid defender Renan Lodi has not return to the club due to positive coronavirus test home.
It was not revealed if the Brazilian is one of the five players but and the case could be from both the Spanish topflight and the second division.
Players have since started training in preparation for the start of matches as the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid stars back to the field while observing the social distance rule.
The league has been scheduled to resume on the 20th of June and to be concluded in 5 weeks with the last fixtures coming on the 26th of July.
