Tottenham Hotspur forward, Richarlison has voiced his displeasure at Manager, Antonio Conte over his choices of not giving him much playtime.
Richarlison, who joined Tottenham last summer has endured a tough start to life in North London, scoring twice in 24 appearances, all two which have come in one Champions League game.
Richarlison impressed in the FIFA World Cup with Brazil in mid-season, where he scored three goals in four games as his country was eliminated in the quarter finals.
However, since his return from the global tournament, the former Everton man has featured ten times for Tottenham, after recovering from an injury, but he has only started three in that time.
Speaking with TNT Sport after the draw against Milan, which confirmed their elimination from the Champions League this season, Richarlison said;
“I’m honest, this season has been shit. I want to play.”
“I didn’t understand [Conte’s choices]. I was in positive moment… and Conte put me on the bench again. Yesterday he tested me in the starting XI and then… bench, again.”
Conte’s contract with Tottenham ends this summer and no talk of extension so far, which continues to signal that his time at the club is about to come to an end.
Richarlison has been frustrated all season for lack of playtime, following his £60 million move last summer, he has started 12 games for the club.
Competing with Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Dejan Kulusevski hasn’t been easy but it is fair to agree that Son has not been his same past impressive self.
Richarlison will be hopeful of more chances when Tottenham Hotspur return to league action this weekend against visiting Nottingham Forest, if his outspokenness has not get him into more troubles with the manager.
