Newly promoted Premier League side, Fulham are interested in Arsenal’s German goalkeeper, Bernd Leno.
The shots stopper has lost him starting spot at Arsenal after the arrival of Aaron Ramsdale in the end of last summer and now seeks a move away from the club.
Arsenal have also signed goalkeeper, Matt Turner from Major League Soccer side, New England Revolution and the 27-year-old American is expected to back up Ramsdale next season, with the club also conceding Leno’s departure is inevitable.
Leno became the undisputed number one for Arsenal at the start of the 2019/20 season, one year after joining from Leverkusen for £20 million.
He has made over 100 appearances across all competitions and he is also one of the Germany national team Goalkeepers, a spot which is coming under threat after a season of limited impact.
A move away from Arsenal this summer is expected and Fulham has express their interest should the 30-year-old choose to remain in London.
The Cottagers look to booster their squad with players with Premier League experience in order to avoid another disastrous spell they endured the last time they secured promotion to the topflight.
With a year left on his current Arsenal contract, Fulham will pay a considerably low amount to the selling club and with Arsenal looking for a buyer, the deal might be sealed in the coming days.
